Location: Mackley Members' Room
Rooted in Classical Modernism yet shaped by my own sensibilities, these works range from loose, expressive studies to carefully layered paintings that explore the play of light, subtle textures, and the emotional resonance of gesture and posture.
This exhibition invites viewers into the intimate world of life painting, revealing not only the physical form but also glimpses of the sitter’s humanity and the artist’s evolving perception.
The works are created in oil and acrylic, sometimes enriched with charcoal accents, and each measures 30 x 40 cm framed.
All paintings are available for purchase, with prices ranging from $800 to $900.

"Born in Melbourne in 1950, I first studied painting privately with Bill Coleman prior to formal art study in the seventies. Gaining a Diploma of Art and Design (Painting) in 1975 from Prahran and a Graduate Diploma of Education in 1977. I then moved to Shepparton to teach art in secondary schools for five years, and on to TAFE Art and Design for a further 25 years. I have shown work in one person exhibitions and numerous group shows. My paintings and prints have been purchased for both private and public collections in Australia and overseas."
