This is a plein air painting of an old pub in a back street of Grenfell NSW. The pub is abandoned now but in its hey day was once owned by the brewer who went on to create Tooheys beer. The grand facade in the background is another pub, The Railway, which has only recently closed. On a more cheerful note this little town is blessed with history and subjects to paint.
