Her work is inspired by the vibrancy and complexity of natural systems – reefs, bushland, deserts, and the diverse species that inhabit them. Drawing on both observation and imagination, she creates artworks that celebrate ecological diversity while prompting reflection on the beauty, fragility, and interconnectedness of the environment.
This exhibition showcases a new series of acrylic and watercolour paintings celebrating the diversity, colour, and movement of birdlife from around the world. Through layered brushwork, luminous washes, and expressive mark-making, the works capture the individuality and spirit of global species—from the iridescent brilliance of tropical hummingbirds and macaws to the quiet majesty of cranes, shorebirds, and forest dwellers.
The series explores how colour, gesture, and rhythm can evoke the energy and song of the natural world, blurring the line between representation and abstraction. A textile-based soft sculpture serves as a central feature—a tactile interpretation of avian form that connects to the painted works through shared texture and tone.
Each artwork celebrates the delicate balance of global ecosystems and the emotional connection between humans and the environments we inhabit. The series encourages viewers to notice the life and character that surrounds them wherever they are in the world.

We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
