In this class you will learn how to create a self-portrait in clay.
Through the course, you will first learn to model in clay a human skull, which will give an opportunity to learn and understand the a strong anatomical foundation in sculpture and the concept of space.
As you get familiar with the three-dimensional form, spatial plans and material, we will progress into self-portrait supported by mirrors and photographs. At the end of the course, you will feel confident enough to be able to transfer two-dimensional image into full 3d sculpture. How to make plaster "blind form" will be explained and demonstrated.
On the last day students will learn how to prepare their sculpture for firing. Enjoy.
