In this ten-week class, instructor Lucy Maddox will guide learners to create studies and resolved pieces of the human figure with an emphasis on colour, light, and proportion. 

The term will begin with local references, such as casts, photographs or self-studies, but the majority of the course will focus on working from live models. 

The class is suited to painters of all skill levels, beginners included, as instruction will include both foundational skill building and individualised feedback.

As Lucy emphasises safe painting practices, please refrain from bringing solvents of any kind into this class, including those marketed as “odourless” or “non-toxic.”
