"Wishing You Great Happiness and Prosperity" is part of "The Artist's Collections" series where I imagine I am a collector of real (and sometimes imagined) objects. I am interested in how painting can invite you to consider materiality and illusion: here, these objects, pretending to be a cat and a Scottish piper, are rendered by me in blobs and strokes of paint on a 2D surface giving the illusion of something else.
