Inspired by the vivid colours of the blood orange, this still life subject has been painted from life, using multiple lighting sources to create a subtle play of shadow patterns which are in sympatico with the cast lighting effects of contemporary ceiling mounted downlights. The orange fruit has been finely hand painted in great detail in the pointillist style, using professional acrylic paint and the finest brushes. The mosaic effect of the background metal foiling creates warmth and vibrancy which shifts according to the viewer's angle. This work has been designed to bring a glowing colour pop in most lighting conditions. Finished with my signature style textured border, this work doesn't require framing and comes with professional quality fittings for easy hanging.
