Opening Event, Friday 4 March from 6:30pm to 8pm.
Location: Cato Gallery
The exhibition is designed to showcase the dynamic and spontaneous nature of watercolour. The exhibition will take the viewer into the Melbourne cafe scene with its throng of people being served by an orchestra of baristas. The paintings encapsulate the light, colour and movement inside these iconic locations.
Watercolour is seen as a most versatile medium in this exhibition, from its softness of light and texture depicted in pastoral landscapes through to bursts of colour seen at the horse racing track. The artists have endeavoured to show something for everyone. Both Rob and Lisa are involved in promoting the love of watercolour being President and Vice President respectively of the Watercolour Society of Victoria. These artists are certainly ‘Two in the Water.’
The exhibition can be viewed until the 28th June.
