Portrait & Figure in Watercolour with Julian Bruere

Join us for wine and cheese on Tuesday nights with Julian Bruere. This is a relaxed class for more confident painters to develop and explore Portrait and Figure in watercolour. Sessions will include work from a reference photo and access to a life model. The emphasis will be on developing personal styles and approaches in this subject with instruction and demonstrations on working with watercolour.

There will be a level of personal work and advancement with support from the teacher when a life model is present.  At other times assignment reference will be provided by the teacher to practice and explore various aspects of the genre.  Important painting instruction of Proportion, Balance, Scale, Colour, Technique, and Drawing will be covered across the term(s).  

The class will run for two and a half hours with appropriate breaks for group discussion and sharing of ideas.
