This class will focus on developing your ability to get loose and experimental with acrylics, supporting you to paint outside of the lines.
Supported by your teacher, you will cover:
The class will feature exercises and demonstrations,
one on one support, sharing in the group, and reflection time.
Materials:
- Large quantities of acrylic paint - any colours you have.
- min 500ml of white and yellow for the term.
- min 240gsm paper in large sheets min 40x60cm , 56x76 , 50x70cm or similar. 2-4 sheets per class = 20-40 large sheets per term
- larger canvases (50cm and above) for later classes
- Mix of brushes - large are better
- Water containers
- Palette (cardboard box works great. I much prefer cardboard palettes to plastic ones)
- Notebook (preferably with no lines. A5 is fine, A4 and A3 great if you like to work big)
- Paper towels
- tape or clips to attach the paper to boards/tables/wall
Optional:
- we will use mixed media in later classes. I will communicate when to bring what but as an idea
- Charcoal, oil pastels, crayons, pencils
- mark making tools, palette knife, sticks, comb, art tools
- masking tape
- arcylic mediums if you have them, gel medium, painting medium etc.
