Red figs sourced from the greengrocery which has been supplying fruit and vegetables since my childhood. Figs have enjoyed a particularly good season this year. Painted from life in oil colours on linen board. Comes in an elegant, Italian picture frame. Normally I sign my work more elaborately, however to retain the sense of timeless beauty in this classic piece, I have kept it very simple.
