Join teachers Julian Bruere, Nicolas Chen, Rob Kelly and Lucy Maddox for a five-day intensive workshop in which you will learn and hone the core concepts and skills of representational visual art.
Each of the first four days will be led by one teacher and will centre on a key area of artistic competency, such as realistic proportions or colour theory and application. These different areas will complement and build on one another over the course of the week.
On the fifth day, you will apply these newfound skills across tasks, combining your enhanced knowledge and understanding in a series of final exercises.
Rather than focusing on any one medium, the course is designed to be undertaken with a medium of your choice, or you can take advantage of the workshop-style atmosphere to try out an art form you haven’t yet used.
A suggested materials list, as well as a day-by-day breakdown of the week, will be published closer to the commencement of the workshop.
