Drawing the Figure with Nathalie Anne

Gain a deeper understanding of drawing the figure through a 2 day creative workshop that equips you to tackle this challenging and rich subject.

Your teacher Nathalie will support you to see things from different perspective as you learn to use your observational skills to break down the figure to its basic shapes with a focus on line and form.

The first day of this workshop will hone-in on some clear building blocks and equip you with ways in which to study, analyse & investigate the form; completing the first day with focus on a clothed model.

The second day will go deeper into rendering the form, working with light and shadows, looking at ways in which to capture and enrich your drawings; The afternoon will then be dedicated to the nude.

This class is open to beginner levels and up. While this is predominately a drawing class, students will have the opportunity to add washes of colour to their work or move towards their own practise if they so choose.
