I started drawing when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I simply picked up chalk and drew on doors and walls—it used to drive my grandpa mad! I always loved it naturally and it is one of the reasons why I am able to paint today.
I have been teaching since 2003, starting in New Zealand, and during my teaching I have seen many people who would love to improve their painting skills, but have limited drawing skills. I am pleased to have been invited to conduct the watercolour classes at the VAS and be given the opportunity to teach drawing for Watercolour.
My students will hopefully realise by the end of the course that Watercolour is not that difficult once you can draw properly.
We would like to pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which our building stands, their leaders, past, present and emerging.
