I have long been captivated by the ‘fullness of emptiness’ of the vast Australian Outback and its ancient geological formations–its curved gullies, craters, cliffs and crevasses, ventifacts and wadis, the monolithic stone tors that standout majestically against the seemingly flat land that surrounds them, and the vast array of natural patterns–symmetries, spirals, meanders, tessellations, cracks and stripes–that distinguish it from other parts of Australia. This work is from my 'Red earth' series in which I have tried to capture the wonder of the desertscapes in the Australian outback.
